Introduction to the Neuroscience of Drumming Blog

I'm Pamela Lynn, a World Percussionist who has accidentally fallen into the world of Neuroscience. After a chronic shoulder injury derailed my musical aspirations, I decided to head back to school. This is the story of my quest to defy the odds. Please join me as I develop, cultivate, build, hold, and pursue my audacious goal to re-emerge as a world class drum solo artist, while simultaneously pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology (Specialization in research-based Cognitive Neuroscience). I am completely open to your ideas and suggestions. Whether you are a drummer or not, I hope that you will find the contents of this blog interesting, useful and inspiring!

On the other hand, being seduced can be an incredibly delicious experience, if who or what, is seducing you affects you in a postive way. When it [...]

Who Else Is Interested In A New Perspective?

I’ve had the privilege lately of being able to spend a significant amount of my time doing background research on my topic of choice. I was advised to let the research take me where it wants to go, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. You may be very shocked to hear where I ended [...]
